Dear Supporters,
The FAA released on December 11 its draft Environmental Assessment (EA) regarding the flight path changes at Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). The draft EA is available HERE.
We are reviewing the draft EA, but unfortunately, none of the options presented would improve quality of life for those impacted since the FAA moved the BUR flight paths for its NextGen airspace modernization program in late 2016.
The FAA announced that it would conduct this EA on March 25, 2019. Almost 5 years later, in the midst of the winter holidays, the FAA is providing a short comment period, until January 24, 2024.
UproarLA organized in 2018 because of these flight path changes and in anticipation of fighting this EA. It's go time and WE NEED YOUR HELP to request (1) an extension of the comment period and (2) the support of our elected officials, by sending 2 emails.

I request a 2-month extension of the comment period for the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed amendments to the Bob Hope “Hollywood Burbank” Airport southern departures.
The draft EA is 529 pages long. The FAA released the draft EA in the midst of Hanukkah and the winter holiday period. The FAA has been working on this draft EA for almost 5 years.
More time is needed for the public to review the draft EA and prepare substantive comments.
Please extend the comment period by 2 months, through March 24, 2024.
