Sharing the below information from Studio City for Quiet Skies (SCFQS) regarding new "flying taxis" that are coming soon to the skies, including in Los Angeles. These are also known as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) or Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
SCFQS has been leading both locally and nationally on this issue. We greatly appreciate their time and efforts.

WHAT IS A FLYING TAXI?
The flying taxi shown below is a concept image from Urban Movement Labs materials. It shows an Advanced Air Mobility or “AAM” aircraft by Archer Aviation flying above a hiking trail. Click here for a video of an AAM flight.
THESE FLY ONLY 400 FT ABOVE GROUND LEVEL
These “flying taxis” are intended to begin operating in Los Angeles by 2024-2025 and scale up in time for the 2028 Olympics. They will change the character of our city with visual blight and noise! They are intended for “high-income users” and will hold only 2-4 people.
U.S. DOT (and FAA) released an AAM Federal Register Notice (AAM FRN) for public comment due by July 17. We are working on a comprehensive comment and will provide you with suggested comments as soon as we are ready. Please stay tuned, but in the meantime, we are asking that you take 2 minutes to send 2 emails as described below.

Where will these NOT fly?! The photo below is from an Eve Air Mobility presentation and shows scaled-up "flying taxi" routes in Los Angeles. L.A. must push for local control and prevent high density, low-flying AAM from infiltrating our city.
