BUR released the Draft Noise Exposure Map (Noise Map) shown below as part of its ongoing Noise Study. The Noise Map defines the geographic boundaries for the Study's Noise Compatibility Program (NCP). The NCP area (depicted in the first image below) is where BUR will make recommendations to the FAA to improve existing and future noise impacts.

This Noise Study was the only recommendation that BUR agreed to perform from the 2019/2020 Task Force, however they have refused to include the areas of Studio City and Sherman Oaks in the Noise Map (see second image below). As a result, the NCP will not address the over 4 million complaints from our community.

The Study's consultants confirmed at the Citizen's Advisory Committee on May 22 that the NCP CAN be expanded to include flight paths and provide relief to our area, but BUR NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU with this request.
