UproarLA is part of a nationwide 70+ member alliance called the Alliance for Aviation-Impacted Communities (AICA) that advocates for communities like ours at the national level.
As part of this effort, AICA has submitted a comprehensive comment on the FAA's new Noise Policy Review (see below for overview of this Noise Policy Review).
AICA's comment addresses how the FAA's policies on noise relative to airports and flight paths should be improved. We are asking our supporters to submit a comment as well.

NEW FAA NOISE POLICY REVIEW
FAA is conducting a new Noise Policy Review (NPR) that builds onthe noise review it conducted in 2021 based on the Neighborhood Environmental Survey (NES). You may remember the NES because it found that most people were “highly annoyed” with aircraft noise.
The purpose of this new NPR is for FAA to gather more information so it can begin the process of updating its noise policies, metrics, and thresholds.
The deadline to comment is September 29, 2023.
